God’s story has a big impact on my life and the lives of many
other Christians. We have a hope for tomorrow. The Bible tells us multiple times
not to fear or worry about tomorrow. Christ tells us this in Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore
I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you
will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food
and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow
nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are
you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single
hour to his span of life?” For non-Christians they do not have the same hope
that we have in Christ. They live their lives without knowing what their true
purpose is and how they are to live their lives. Through reading God’s Word we
find our purpose in life which is to glorify God in all that we do.

God's Creation: Woman
In Genesis 2:18, 21-22 God is
telling us why He created woman to be the way we are. God said that it was not good for man to be alone,
so He created a helper for man. The Hebrew
word for a woman helper is the word Ezer.
God calls all women to be Ezers of the
world. To be an Ezer we are to invite,
nurture, and partner with everyone we come in contacted with.
As Ezers,
we are to be inviting. Jesus came so
that we can have a relationship with Him. All throughout scripture God reveals to us
that He wants a relationship with us. As Ezers it is in our nature to have relationships
with other people. We even long for
those relationships with other people whether it be a best friend, a boyfriend,
or just simply a family relationship.
We are
to nurture those around us. God gave us,
as Ezers, the characteristic of nurture. He made us the ones that bring forth life into
this world. We are to take care of that new
life and it is in our instincts to know how to take care of that newborn child.
In Matthew 19:14 Jesus said “Let the
little children come to me…” in this verse God is showing us how He wants to be
our Father. God wants to nurture His
children if they will let Him.
We are
to partner with those around us. When a woman gets married she and her husband
are now in a tight partnership that only God can break. God wants to have that same relationship as
a husband and wife with us. We see that
example when He talks about the Church being the bride. God created us, as Ezers, to be the godly
example of what true partnership should be.
