The Story of Creation

The creation of the world began as God spoke and light came to being and He separated the light, day, from the darkness, night.  The next day God declared into existence an expanse in the midst of waters, in which He then separated it into two waters one above and below the expanse. Again God was pleased at the end of the day. Adding to His creation, He added dry land that would sprout vegetation from it and all kinds of fruits. There was morning and evening for a third day. On morning of the fourth day, God made two great lights in the expanse that would be signs for the years, days, and the seasons. A greater light set to rule the day and a lesser light to rule the night. Like in days past, God considered His work good. The next two days, God began to fill the fill the earth, at His spoken command, with sea creatures, birds, and land animals.  The final thing God created was mankind in which He created in His image. On day seven, God rested and looked back at all He made and knowing it was good.
